About Singleton Pre-School
About Singleton Pre-School
We are committed to creating a child-safe culture that reflects the National Child Safe Principles and NSW Child Safe Standards, ensuring every child feels secure, valued and respected.
Our preschool provides early learning and play-based education for children aged 3–5 years, helping to build the foundations for a confident and successful transition to school.
Our purpose
We support children to develop confidence, independence, social skills and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful play-based experiences.
Our philosophy
We believe that children learn best through play in an environment where they feel safe, supported and valued.
We are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – Belonging, Being and Becoming, which underpins everything we do.
We believe:

Every child is unique and learns at their own pace.

Strong, respectful relationships are central to learning and wellbeing.

Children develop best in environments that are safe, predictable and nurturing.

Families are a child’s first and most important teachers.

Inclusion, diversity and cultural respect strengthen our community.

Children have the right to express their views and be heard.
Our organisational structure
Singleton Pre-School is governed by a volunteer Management Committee made up of members of the local community. The Committee is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the service.
The day-to-day operations of the preschool are led by our Director / Nominated Supervisor, who works closely with a team of qualified early childhood educators.
Our structure includes:
- Management Committee (governance and oversight).
- Director / Nominated Supervisor (lead educator and operations).
- Early Childhood Educators (program delivery and care).
- Educational Leader (curriculum and learning guidance).
- Responsible Person (on-site supervision and compliance).
This structure ensures strong leadership, accountability and consistent high-quality education and care.
Our educators and team
We value ongoing professional development and ensure our team is up to date with current best practice in early childhood education, including child protection, wellbeing and inclusive learning strategies.
Together, our team supports children to feel a strong sense of belonging, build relationships, and develop the skills they need for lifelong learning.
Our community connections
We actively engage with families to ensure children’s learning reflects their home life, culture and community, and we work together to support each child’s development and wellbeing.
Child safety and wellbeing
The safety and wellbeing of children is at the centre of everything we do.
We maintain a strong child-safe culture through:
- Compliance with NSW Child Safe Standards.
